Inspired by the hit Netflix show, Wednesday, that's breaking all the streaming records, theres a scene in Wednesday where her classmates throw her a birthday party.  The cake decoration shows an image of a Grim Reaper holding a pink balloon.  Edin chimes in and states that the pink balloon is her touch.

So what does this symbolize? Obviously, Wednesday represents the Grim Reaper.  In the beginning of the series her soul is cold and dark, more than happy to fulfil the role of a Grim Reaper by escorting souls of the dead to their deserved afterlife. However, as the series progresses, you slowly start to notice Wednesday's uniform gets less and less dark.  She starts out wearing all black fits, but by the end of the series her clothing changes to accents of lighter colors.  This symbolizes the softening of Wednesday heart.  The Grim Reaper is no different.

In the birthday scene of Episode 6, you notice that the cake topper has lots of hidden messages.  Notice where the dark figure's attention is drawn towards.  It's turned to the pink balloon.  The creators are symbolizing that Wednesday is riddled with decisions.  The Pink Balloon represents happiness, friendships, goodness, grace, and most importantly a caring loving soul.  And her focus is drawn towards those things contemplating leaving her scythe behind and turning over a new leaf.  You can see how much the friendships she has developed throughout the series means the world to her and she slowly starts to care more and more for people, even though pretending like she doesn't.

This is such a cool metaphor that I thought I would recreate it as an image of hope and meaning.  You can purchase this image on my Etsy page and get a hi-res watermark free download.  From there you can have it printed on shirts, mugs, stickers, bags.  VistaPrint is the least expensive option to have it printed on a shirt. See how many of your friends recognize the image.  See how many comment asking you what it means.
